Why Governor Oyetola Must Not Extend The Lockdown, By Comrade Niyi Peters

The Publicity Secretary of Osun State Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, and Publicity Secretary of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Osogbo Branch, Comrade Niyi Peters has called on the State Governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola to look into the present harrowing conditions of the people and not to extend the lockdown in the State.

In a statement signed by Comrade Niyi Peters and made available to OSUNREPORTERS NEWS on Tuesday in Osogbo where he noted that this came in the wake of various security reports from other States about the rampage of Bandits and other crimes.

According to the statement, “It is pertinent to note that Osun has been peaceful and calm since he became the Governor. The mounting tension resulting from the 14day stay at home period might result into similar cases from other States as a result of hunger and idleness”.

Niyi Peters urge the State Governor to take into consideration what other States are experiencing as a result of the lockdown.

He commended Governor Oyetola for a Job well done, says we need a Governor like him in times like this. God will not leave him nor forsake him. More Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding in God’s name, adding that the residents of the State should take personal security serious at this time, and also be your brother’s keeper.
