Wasiu Ajadosu, Sesan Adeleke Emerge Osun NUJ Chairman, Vice
Following the democratic process of a bye-election, the Osun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Thursday elected new chairman and vice to run the affairs of the union.
The election become necessary after the Chairmanship position became vacant following the appointment of the former Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji as the Senior Special Assistance to Governror Oyetola on Students’ Affairs and Social Mobilization.
OSUNREPORTERS NEWS confirmed on Thursday 24th September, 2020 in Osogbo that Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu of Radio Nigeria was elected as Chairman while Comrade Sesan Adeleke of Federated Chapel emerged Vice Chairman to run the affairs of Osun NUJ till 2023.
After the electioneering process, Ajadosu scored 136 votes to to defeat his opponent Dele Ajayi of Uniq FM, who polled 59 votes, while Comrade Sesan Adeleke of Federated Chapel emerged as State Vice Chairman unopposed.
Swearing in of the new elected officers followed immediately after the declaration of winners which was conducted by Barrister Oyesiku Adelu alongside Barrister Laide Awolola.

While reacting to their victory, Ajadosu promised to build on the progress and Development achieved by his predecessor, Ayantunji as Adeleke pledged to support the agenda of his Chairman and discharge his constitutional duties to promote and defend the Union.
