Varsity Lecturer Who Engaged In Barbing During ASUU Strike, Gives Testimony

….A senior Lecturer at the Hausa Department of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, Prof. Bashir Aliyu Sallau, has revealed he’s also a local barber, popularly called ‘Wanzan’ in Hausa land.

,,,,,He said it is a ‘side hustle’ for him. In an interview with a foreign broadcast station monitored by Leadership, Prof. Sallau says he is proud of his ‘side hustle’ as it was the same work that bailed him out during the protracted ASUU Strike in 2022 when the Federal Government introduced ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy to tackle striking University teachers for months.
