Update On Rape, Murder Of UNIBEN Student, As Police Reportedly Arrests Suspect

As Nigerians continue to demand for Justice over UNIBEN student, Vera Omozuwa’s death, the Edo State Police Command has reportedly arrested one member of the suspected gang who raped and murdered her.

According to Chidi Nwabuzor, who is the spokesman of Edo Police Command, the suspect was arrested after the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with was examined.

It could be recalled that OSUNREPORTERS NEWS reported hiw a 22-year-old Omozuwa was reportedly raped and murdered on Friday 29th May, 2020 in a Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG near Ikpoba Hill in Benin city, Edo State.

In another development, one Mr. Elem made a comment on Facebook where he stated that the late Uniben Student deserves what she got because she was dating two roommates.

Elem Wrote “Good for her why will she be dating 2 roommates at the same time”

He has however deleted his Facebook account after Nigerians asked for him to be arrested and investigated.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of Edo police command, Chidi Nwabuzor has confirmed the arrest of the suspect while speaking to newsmen. But OsunReporters News couldn’t verify if the arrested suspect is Mr. Elem.
