Tribunal: Presidency Reveals Tinubu’s Current State Of Mind
……In anticipation of the forthcoming judgment from the Presidential Election Petition Court scheduled for Wednesday, the Presidency has emphasized that President Bola Tinubu remains unworried about the court’s decision.
Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, made this clear during an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” program on Monday.
……Ngelale stated that President Tinubu is confident in his victory in the election and does not feel the need to threaten or cast aspersions on the judiciary. He believes in the integrity of the Nigerian judicial system and trusts that the judges will make their decisions impartially based on the case’s merits.
Ngelale further mentioned that regardless of the judgment’s outcome, President Tinubu is committed to upholding the respect and integrity of Nigeria’s institutions. He is currently away in New Delhi, India, attending the G-20 Leaders’ Summit, which coincides with the judgment date.
Earlier in the day, the Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Umar Bangari, confirmed that the Tribunal…..would deliver its judgments on the election challenges filed against Tinubu’s victory in the February 25, 2023 poll.
…..The proceedings will be open to live broadcast by interested television stations. The petitioners challenging Tinubu’s election include Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
….Atiku, a former Vice President, secured the second position in the election, while Peter Obi, a former Anambra State governor, came third.
