Transformer cable vandal arrested in Osun (Photo)
A suspected electricity transformer cale vandal identified as Yuduf Adamu has been apprehended by the operatives of the Osun State Police Command.
The state Command Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola made this known on Thursday in Osogbo the Osun State capital, noting that the suspect was apprehended on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at about 11:45pm.
According to Opalola, “Informations was received by operatives of Police Divisional Headquarters ‘B’ Division Ede that a young man later identified as Yusuf Adamu who hails from Kebbi State was seen moving at night with electricity transformer’s cable which was suspected to have been removed from a transformer.
“Upon receipt of this information, a team of operatives swung into action and arrested the said suspect who was still in possession of the exhibit. He has confessed to the crime. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing.”
The Police Spokesperson added that the case will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
