Tragedy as fire razes shops in Osun

Residents count their losses when about six shops were razed in the early morning inferno that occurred at Lagere Junction in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

According to reports, the fire started around 3am on Tuesday and caused panic among the residents of the area. Consequently, shops in the vicinity that had left their lights on before closing were engulfed in flames.

Properties including phones, cloths, building materials, shoes and others were reportedly destroyed by the fire.
