Tinubu’s Minister Rushed To Abuja Hospital, Struggle For Life
,,,,Bola Tinubu’s Minister has been hospitalised in Abuja for allegedly suffering acute poisoning.
Nigerian Tourism Minister, Lola Ade-John, has been hospitalized in Abuja following what appears to be a case of acute poisoning with origins shrouded in mystery.
The 60-year-old minister was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi after she began showing alarming symptoms of poisoning, according to family sources close to her ordeal. As of Friday morning, she has spent four days battling for her life at the facility.
Ms. Ade-John, a seasoned banker and tech investor, currently relies on a breathing machine to aid her respiration, our sources reported.
However, the specifics regarding the substance she ingested and the circumstances surrounding the poisoning remain elusive, and authorities including the police and the State Security Service have yet to confirm any ongoing investigations into the matter. Tinubu’s Minister Poisoned In Abuja The deteriorating condition of the minister has added strain to her family’s predicament.
There has been a significant disagreement between her family and the government regarding the choice of medical facility for her treatment.
The permanent secretary of her ministry, Ngozi Onwudike, reportedly insisted that she remain at the Federal Medical Centre, citing the cost-effectiveness of a public hospital. In contrast, the family argued for her transfer to a better-equipped private facility in the downtown area. Financial constraints prevented the family from pursuing the latter option.
Efforts to contact the permanent secretary for comment were unsuccessful at the time of writing, and a spokesperson for the Federal Medical Centre did not respond to inquiries about Ms. Ade-John’s condition.
Lola Ade-John was appointed as a minister by President Bola Tinubu in August, a move that garnered attention due to her background outside the political realm.
She spent years residing in London before President Tinubu requested her return to Nigeria to serve in his administration.
…..As Ms. Ade-John continues her fight for life, the unanswered questions surrounding her poisoning have cast a shadow over her promising tenure as minister and ignited concerns about the safety of public officials in Nigeria
