Tinubu Appoints Ex-Atiku Spokesperson, Bwala, others

____President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of three Nigerians as directors-general of various federal agencies and one special adviser on public communications and media.

…..The appointments, aimed at strengthening the leadership of critical sectors, bring seasoned professionals into key government roles.

The newly appointed officers include:

_Mr. Olawale Olopade – Director-General, National Sports Commission
A veteran in sports administration, Olopade brings a wealth of experience to the National Sports Commission.
He previously served as the Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.

_Dr. Abisoye Fagade – Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism
With a strong background in marketing and communication, Dr. Fagade is set to lead the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism.
He is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions, a prominent agency in marketing communications.

_Dr. Adebowale Adedokun – Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement Adedokun, previously the Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the Bureau, steps into the role of Director-General with extensive experience within the agency.
His appointment is expected to bring continuity and focus to the bureau’s objectives.


_Mr. Daniel Bwala – Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House)
A lawyer and well-known public affairs analyst, Bwala will serve as the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications.
His experience in law and public affairs is anticipated to add strategic depth to the State House’s communication efforts.
President Tinubu has expressed confidence in the new appointees, urging them to serve with “dedication, patriotism, and excellence” as they undertake their responsibilities across Nigeria’s sports, tourism, public procurement, and media sectors.
These appointments are seen as a step toward enhancing governance and public trust through leadership marked by experience and commitment.
