Tinubu appoints 555 governing council for tertiary institutions (Full List)

Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that the Federal Government has approved the appointment of 555 persons to serve as Chairmen and members of governing councils of tertiary institutions in Nigeria

According to a circular signed by permanent secretary, Federal ministry of Education, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, the Federal Government has now appointed chairmen and members of the governing council for Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

______’:::::The inauguration and retreat for the Governing Councils will take place on Thursday, 30th and Friday, 31st May, 2024 at the National Universities Commission, Abuja.

It would be recalled that Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) threatened to embark on strike over the government’s refusal to reconstitute the governing councils of public universities.

,,,,,,,ASUU had on Tuesday given the government a two-week ultimatum to do the needful.
