Three dead in Ikirun-Osogbo highway auto crash
Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that no fewer than three lives were lost in a motor accident on the Ikirun-Osogbo highway in Osun State.
While confirming the incident, Spojesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun Command, Mr Kehinde Adeleke said the incident which occurred on Tuesday where a Lexus 350 Jeep with registration number plate SMK 17JK, had a head-on collision with an unregistered trailer, leading to the death of three persons on the spot, attributing the accident to reckless driving by the trailer driver, who immediately fled the accident scene.

According to him, “We gathered that the trailer caused the accident due to the reckless driving of the driver who ran away after the accident happened. The dead bodies of the three persons inside the Lexus 350 jeep have been taken to an unidentified morgue while the road has been cleared for easy vehicular movement,” Adeleke said.
Adeleke concluded that the intelligence officers of the command secured the scene of the accident before the arrival of other sister security agencies. He urged all road users to adhere to safety regulations on highways to save lives and property.
