State assembly recommends suspension of 15 council chairmen
The Niger state House of Assembly Committee set up to look into contract financing loans to the twenty-five local governments has recommended the suspension of fifteen chairmen in the state.
This decision was taken by the House to pave way for smooth and uninterrupted access for the committee to effectively discharge their duties.
The Chairman of the committee, Abdulmalik Madaki Bosso while presenting the report said most of the suspended Councils Chairmen have collected the loan without following the due process which he noted is unacceptable by the House.
