Some governors call for shift of general elections
…..The ruling All Progressives (APC) is pushing for the postponement of the 2023 general elections by a minimum of four weeks.
Credible sources in the party informed our correspondent that the move is being spearheaded by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
According to the source, the postponement agenda is currently gathering momentum as some undisclosed state governors were said to be in support.
However, the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council has rejected the move, saying anyone seeking a shift in the date of the elections is an enemy of Nigeria.
