So Sad! Details Of How Four Died, 4 Others Injured In Offa Auto Crash (Video)

Not less than eight persons were involved in an auto crash as four persons confirmed dead in Offa-Ojoku, Offa, Kwara State.

According to the report, the ghastly accident involved a private Toyota Camry with registration number SMK 568 GL and a commercial tricycle carried students of Federal Polytechnic Offa on Wednesday morning.

Narrating the incident, an eyewitness said “the Toyota Camry car rammed into the upcoming tricycle led to the accident involving six Male and two Female passengers of the vehicles while four passengers lost their lives.

“The driver of TYT Camry ran for his life as angry residents of the community burnt down the vehicle.”

Meanwhile, officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps had arrived the scene of the incident to carry out the corpse involved in the accident.

Confirming the report, the Kwara state FRSC Spokesperson, Owoade Denrele said, “eight persons were involved in the accident as three males and one female died.”

Owoade then confirmed that the situation is under control as the other sister agencies which include the navy is there, the police and civil defence are there to control the situation.

While speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Polytechnics Offa, Olayinka Iroye confirmed that two students of the institution were involved in the ghastly accident and responding to treatment, adding that the institution has suspended all lectures for today due to the incident.

Iroye, urged all students to remain calm and conduct themselves peacefully and condoled with the family of the victims who died in the incident.

As at the time of filling this report, the remaining three males and one female who sustained injures have been taken to General Hospital Offa.
