Six suspected railway line vandals arrested
A six-man gang allegedly specialised in vandalising railway lines was apprehended by the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Denny Manuel, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, in a statement explained that the suspects were apprehended at Ubahu Community in Enugu East Local Government Area of the state in collaboration with the Garrison Command, 82 Division of the Nigerian Army.
The spokesman gave the names of the suspects as Zakari Ishaka, 25, of Katsina; Amadu Danladi 40, of Kano; Abdulkareem Haruna 19 of Katsina; Ousman Idris, 19, Kano; Musa Hamza, 23, Kano; and Arma Yau Magaji, 42, Katsina. He said that the suspects are already helping Corps in its investigation to unravel other culprits and their sponsors.
