SDP’s Adebayo Warns Public Against Fake News Of His ‘Stepdown’ Rumor
,,,,,,The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Saturday’s election, Prince Adewole Adebayo has described as untrue insinuations that he has stepped down from the race.
Prince Adebayo who was reacting to reports of his stepping down from the race said on his verified Twitter page: “I get inquiries by well-meaning voters, irritated by mischievous rumours, innuendoes and fake news by @OfficialAPCNg, @OfficialPDPNig and disappointingly also @NgLabour that SDP is in collaboration with them or I have withdrawn for any of them. It’s a lie. Ignore them. Vote for SDP”.
The lawyer-turned-politician insisted he was prepared to see through the election as he was convinced Nigerians, having been Pummeled by both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and tired of suffering, would vote for him in Saturday’s election.
,,,,,,,,Meanwhile, Prince Adebayo, his counterparts in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, and African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore have pledged to improve education, revamp the economy and tackle insecurity if elected,
They gave the commitment on Sunday during the Definitive Presidential Debate, the last virtual presidential debate put together by seasoned non-partisan Nigerian journalists.
The organisers are Rudolf Okonkwo, Professor Farooq Kperogi, Sonala Olumhense, and Okey Ndibe.
,,,,,,,Okonkwo in his opening remark disclosed that nine presidential candidates were invited, but only candidates of SDP, ADC and ACC accepted the invitation.
Speaking on his plans, Prince Adebayo said Nigerians need and deserve an alternative party and personality that will lead the country out of the woods.
SDP presidential standard-bearer, who described himself as the alternative, promised that he will eradicate poverty, insecurity and establish a government that will be accountable to all.
On whether he will remove the fuel subsidy, he said “I will remove fuel subsidy and channel the resources to other important sectors.”
,,,,,,,,Adebayo lamented that insecurity has become a big business in Nigeria, adding that “I will ensure that Nigerians are busy with good employment to tackle insecurity.”
