Sallah: Imbibe the lessons of Eidel-el-Adha, Titi Laoye-Ponnle urges Muslims
The immediate past Deputy Governor of Osun state, Otunba (Mrs) Titi Laoye-Ponnle has appealed to Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons of Eidel-el-Adha as exemplified by Prophets Ibraheem and Muhammed during and after the celebration.
In a felicitation message signed on Sunday and made available to the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS in Osogbo, Titi Laoye urged Nigerian to imbibe the act of patience, sacrifice, faith in God and selfless service to God and humanity as teaches by the Eid season.
The message also noting that nothing is too big to give for collective security, peace and progress of Osun and Nigeria, adding that this occasion offers the faithful another rare opportunity to seek God’s bounties and bond with one another in an atmosphere of love and unity.
Titi Laoye-Ponnle tasked Osun residents to take advantage of the moment to beseech Allah for His continuous mercies on the State, Nigeria and humanity as a whole.
“As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eidel-Kabir today, it is my prayers to the Almighty God to accept our worship and supplications, grant us his guidance and place our State and country on the path of peace and sustainable development.
“I urge all Muslims to imbibe the lessons of Eidel-el-Adha as exemplified by Prophets Ibraheem and Muhammed for peace to reign in our land,” she added.
