Rívers Gov suspends Wike’s N195bn ring road project
,,,,Governor Siminalayi Fubara has suspended the multi billion naira Port Harcourt ring road project that was initiated by his predecessor, Wike.
….Fubara has suspended the port Harcourt ring road project
This decision comes as the power struggle between Fubara and Wike intensifies
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has put a hold on the Port Harcourt Ring Road, which was started by the previous governor, Nyesom Wike.
,,,,,This decision is coming on the heels of the power tussle between the FCT Minister and Sim Fubara.
The conflict between Fubara and Wike escalated because there are assumptions that even though Wike is working in Abuja, he is still influencing and controlling things in Rivers state.
The project’s sudden suspension is a sign of how much tension there is between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Yesterday, Fubara sacked some of the people who were loyal to Wike from his government.
This is happening because lawmakers in the state House of Assembly, who support Wike, are trying to remove Fubara from office.
On Monday, police allegedly fired gunshots and tear gas at the governor while he paid a visit to the Assembly Complex that was gutted by fire on Sunday.
A faction of the assembly impeached Ehie Edison as the house leader but he was later re-elected.
…..Wike is yet to speak on the power crisis rocking the state
