Read-A-Thon: Osun-born Samson Ajao Officially Wins Guinness World Record
Three months after his attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, an Osun-born Ajao Samson has been confirmed as the new world record title holder for the longest marathon read aloud by the Guinness World Record.
While announcing this in a post on his Facebook wall on Friday, Ajao wrote: “I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God, my family, friends, and an indefatigable team for making the big dream come to reality.
“Today, I was confirmed as the new world record title holder for the longest marathon reading aloud by the Guinness World Record. I am glad to be an advocate for literacy development.”
It should be recalled that in May 2024, Ajao attempted to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest reading time with a 214-hour marathon.
Ajao, who hails from Iwo town. He is a former student union president of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
