Ramadan: Igbalaye admonishes Islamic Faithfuls, says ‘It Is A Time To Reflect’
As fasting kicks-off today, the Secretary to the Osun state Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye has admonished muslims across board to expend this period solely for the cause in which it is created.
The Osun State SSG via a statement issued by his media aide, Kehinde Adeoye, further maintained that this is a time for sober reflection, a time to wash ourselves of every dirt, reconsecrate and ask for God’s mercy as these highlights some of the cardinal teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SWT).
“I join Muslim faithfuls all over the world as we welcome the holy month of Ramadan.
This is a time for sober reflection. A time to cleanse ourselves of every dirt and seek for God’s mercy and favour over our land.”
The SSG noted further that it is imperative to preach the message of love at this period. The need to love everyone around us, neigbours, relatives etc..
“This period also affords us the opportunity to learn on the virtue of showing undiluted love to those around us- relatives and neighbours alike as this one of the cardinal teachings of Prophet Mohammed.”
“I pray that the Almighty will answer our prayers and pour his blessings upon us.
Ramadan Kareem!”
