President Tinubu Jets Out to Qatar
Following an invitation from the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Lagos on Thursday for a two-day official visit to Qatar.
According report, the trip aims to bolster cooperation between the two nations in various sectors, including security, cultural exchange, and economic development.
,____The visit, as announced by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, will involve the signing of agreements focusing on “boosting Nigeria’s real sector and creating value-additive investments” across trade, education, and crucial areas like solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, and gas. Additionally, collaboration on counter-terrorism will be fostered.
However,vPresident Tinubu will participate in a business and investment forum, bringing together key figures from both countries’ private and public sectors. This forum aims to unlock cross-sectoral opportunities for mutually beneficial growth and development.
____The President will be accompanied by relevant government officials for the signing ceremonies. This visit marks the third Gulf state that President Tinubu has visited during his nine months in office, making it his 16th foreign destination and 12th trip overall. His previous international engagements include visits to France, the United Kingdom, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Benin Republic, India, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Ethiopia
