Popular Nigerian Prince dies in Auto Crash

News reach in the OsunReporters News confirmed that Prince Umar Shehu Idris, the son of the late Emir of Zazzau, has died in an auto crash along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

According to reports, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, also known as Dan Isan Zazzau, was involved in the accident on Tuesday afternoon.

The 41-year-old Prince, who served as the Assistant Secretary to the Zazzau Emirate Council, is survived by two wives and two children.

His death comes just 39 days after the passing of his biological mother, the wife of the late Emir Dr. Shehu Idris, and mother-in-law of the current Emir, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

____Mallam Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, the Media and Publicity Officer of the emirate, confirmed the tragic news to the newspaper and stated that the burial arrangements would be announced in due time.

Zazzau, also known as the Zaria Emirate, is a traditional state with headquarters in the city of Zaria, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.
