Police Officers Brutally Assaulting Bikeman With Iron Rods

<<<<<>>>According to a Twitter user, Adebowale Afolabi (@Afobowale), who posted the video on Twitter, the incident happened last Friday at Oja Oba, Ogundele Street, close to Abule Egba under bridge.

From the content of the video, after pushing the motorcyclist down, one of the police officers held him while another one hastened to run away with the motorcycle but the victim struggled with the policeman holding him.>>>>>But as he rushed to retrieve his motorcycle from the police officer who eventually sped off with the motorcycle, the third police officer attacked him with what looks like a motorcycle exhaust pipe, during which he broke the victim’s head, and they quickly jumped into a waiting tricycle (Keke Napep) and sped off as the victim tried to catch up on them.
Reacting to the police brutality of the motorcyclist incident on Wednesday morning, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) and convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, said, “This happened to a Nigerian man who did not slap the police! Police brutality, humiliation and brazen inhumanity is on steroids in Nigeria! This must stop or be stopped completely.”
Also reacting to the incident, a popular Nigerian skit maker and activist, Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, more commonly called Mr Macaroni, berated the police for not taking necessary action against the erring officers despite that the incident happened days ago.
He said, “According to the poster, this happened 4 days ago and we haven’t even heard anything from the Police on this. @BenHundeyin @Princemoye1
“This is inhumane. No one deserves to be treated like this. Not the citizens nor the police.
“This is why I say it should be good Vs evil and not the police Vs the people.>>>>“So that we can together condemn evil be it against the People or against the Police. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

“This right here is barbaric.>>>“Assault against the citizen and against the police should be condemned always and should be swiftly addressed so we can nip it in the bud for good.

“I hope the Police will swing into action on this matter as well.”
