Police de-rank, reprimand officers for assaulting motorist

,,,The Police have sanctioned officers seen in a viral video assaulting an unidentified man in Rivers State.

,,,,The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced this on his Twitter handle. One of the officers, Adejoh Siaka, got his rank reduced from Inspector to Sergeant while another officer, Sergeant Ndiwa Kpuebari who was also present at the scene was severely reprimanded.

,,,,, Recalled that in a viral video clip, a police officer (Siaka) holding his rifle is seen beating a man with a cane and slapping him, while another officer (Kpuebari) is filmed pushing a lady into a car.

,,,,,Adejobi replied: “These men have been arrested and their commander will personally bring them to the Force Headquarters for further actions.”
