Police arrest officer for having canal knowledge 13-year-old girl

,,,,,,An official of the Yolde-Pate Correctional Centre in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, MC Bello, has confessed to raping a 13-year-old mentally challenged girl in the state, blaming the devil for the act.

…..According to the spokesman of the state police command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the prison warder gave the confession during his parade at the command’s headquarters of the state in Yola recently.

……The prison official said he lured the minor with N50 and took her into his apartment near the prison, where he had carnal knowledge of her on February 1, 2022.

,,,,,While the police spokesman said investigation has commenced into the matter, the Human Rights Desk Office at the Centre for Women and Adolescent Empowerment, Yola, said a medical examination has also confirmed that the victim was sexually abused.

…..The desk said in a statement, “The girl has had a medical examination which confirmed penetration. We shall follow up the case to its logical conclusion so that the little girl gets justice.

“The suspect has confessed to the crime and pleaded for leniency, attributing his action to the devil’s influence,” Adamawa Police PRO said.
