Phoebestar Royalty Schools bags Osun Best Secondary School award
In what further cemented the citadel of learning as a school with academic excellence, Phoebestar Royalty Schools, Osogbo on Thursday, December 5th 2024 bagged an Award of Excellence through a Transparent public voting that was conducted online, as it beats other schools nominated for the Award to emerge as the Osun Best Secondary School of the year 2024.
The General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency, Mrs Funmi Abokede presented the Award of Excellence to the representatives of the school led by the Principal, Mrs Atoyebi Oluwatoyin during a Public Lecture and Award Presentation Organised by the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) as part of activities to mark the Osun Digital Media Week 2024.
When asked to shed more light on the process that gave birth to the emergence of Phoebestar Royalty Schools as the winner, Chairman of OOPA, Mr Mukhtar Ajelogbon said Pheobestar was nominated because of its academic and moral impacts in the society.
According to Ajelogbon, five Osun based private secondary schools were nominated in that category, out of which Phoebestar emerged winner with over 50% votes.
Earlier in her acceptance speech, the school Principal, Mrs Atoyebi Oluwatoyin described the Award as an indication that Phoebestar has positively impacted and redefined academic standards in Osun and beyond.
She further assured the public that the Award will spur Phoebestar to double its efforts in academic excellence that it’s known for.
The public lecture organized by OOPA is titled ”The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Digital Media in the 21st Century,” and it provided valuable insights into how AI is transforming the digital media landscape, equipping members with knowledge and tools to navigate these changes effectively.
