PDP House of Reps Member Joins Another Party

Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that a member of the House of Representatives representing Ukwa East/West in Abia State, Chris Nkwonta, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to reports, the defection was announced during Wednesday’s plenary session by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas in Abuja.

While reacting, Deputy Minority Leader Aliyu Madaki, citing a section of the constitution, called for Nkwonta’s seat to be declared vacant.
