Oyetola Appoints Sheik Ma’aruf Ishola As Osun 2019 Amir-ul Hajj
The Osun State Governor, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola has appointed the Grand Mufty of Osogbo, Sheik Ma’aruf Olawale Ishola, as the new Amir-ul Hajj of the Osun State for the 2019 Hajj operations.
His appointment was announced on Friday 21st June, 2019 to lead the State’s contingent to the 2019 Hajj exercise Macca/Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Until his appointment, the erudite Islamic scholar, Sheik Ma’aruf Ishola is the Mufasir and third in command to the Chief Imam of Osogboland.
The new Amir-ul Hajj is a revered Islamic scholar in Osogbo and environs with his Arabic and Islamic School. He holds a Masters Degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Ilorin, and a Bachelors Degree in the same field.
