Osun Wanted Notorious Criminal, Ajagungbade Arrested

…….The notorious criminal suspect and Osun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thug, Dauda Olalekan Ajagungbade popularly known as Emir has been arrested and transfered to the Police Headquarters, Abuja for interrogation.

….A police source confirmed that he was arrested few days ago for beating a man (Name withheld) with dangerous objects including knife and cutlass who is currently in coma in an undisclosed hospital in Osogbo.

He was released and later rearrested while the state Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe received the signal to transfer him to the Force headquarter, Abuja.

Olalekan was declared wanted by Osun State Police Command on July 2, 2022 for various criminal offences including murder, Cultism, Kidnaping and being in possession of firearms.

In 2022, he was alleged to have been arrested with fire arms and detained at Zone 11, Police Zonal Headquarter, Osogbo, but later released.

He was alleged to have led the Killings of five people including Oyewale Sherif after the inaugurations of Governor Ademola Asdeleke and burned one person (Olalekan Waheed) alive.

He was alleged to have have also led the thugs to snatched ballot boxes in Boripe, Osogbo and Olorunda Local Governments during the last presidential and National Assembly Election.

Recently Ajagungbade was also alleged to have involved in the killings of more than 5 people at the recent concluded Osun Osogbo festival in August and escaped to the convoy of Governor Adeleke Ademola when police wanted to arrest him.


The Osun State Chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) during and after the last Presidential and National Assembly election raised several alarms and petitioned police authorities about the criminal activities of Olalekan including killing and physical attacks of its members.
