Osun LG Polls: 13 Political Parties Show Interest, As OSIEC Extends Registration Timeline

For every qualified political parties to participate and to give each party a sense of belonging, the Osun Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) has announced the extension of the ongoing expression of interest to participate in the forthcoming Local Government Election exercise in the state till Friday, 26th June, 2020.

Recall that the exercise was initially slated to close by Tuesday 23rd June for registration of political parties to participate in the coming local government elections in the state.

According to a statement released today by the Commission’s Chairman, Segun Oladitan, a total of 13 political parties have so far expressed interest in the exercise.

The registered paeties include;
Action Alliance
African Democratic Congress
Accord
Social Democratic Party
African Action Congress
New Nigeria Peoples Party
Allied Peoples Movement
Peoples Redemption Party
All Progressives Congress
All Progressives Grand Alliance
Peoples Democratic Party
Zenith Labour Party
Action Democratic Party

As stated in the statement, other political parties that are yet to register should act accordingly before the end of the new timeline.
