OSUN: IBEDC Disclaims Report On ‘Intentionally Shedding Osogbo Electricity’, Says We Are Customer Friendly
The Osun region of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has debunked news reportedly linked to her in an online report which claimed that the company intensionally shedding Osogbo electricity.
In a release signed by the Osun Regional Communication Officer, Miss Kikelomo Owoeye which made available to OsunReporters News urged the general public to desist from any news that is not from the company’s regional communication, adding that IBEDC is a customer friendly company.

“The Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) in Osun region wishes to debunk an online report that said the company intentionally load-shed its customers in a some areas in Osogbo.
“As a Customer friendly company we will not loadshed our esteemed customers because of people who are engaging in illegal connection or energy theft as claimed in the report.
“The management of IBEDC has good relationship with the law enforcement agencies and they have assisting us to deal with the menace of energy theft by arresting the perpetrators in such act of socio economic sabotage.
“Also, IBEDC also enjoin people to desist from spreading rumour, as doing so may put into jeopardy security of lives and property.
“While we hold newsmen in high esteem, in recognition of the critical roles they play in the society, we urge all fake news merchants to desist from spreading unconfirmed reports, as doing so portends serious danger for the society.
“We want to reassure our teeming customers that we are still committed to rendering quality services and they should not hesitate to explore all our Customers Complaint channels or visit our offices whenever they have complaints bothering on our services. We assure that such will be attended to promptly and properly.
“We want to urge our customers to disregard any information that is not coming from the Regional Communication Officer of the location or a top Management officer from the Head office.”
