Osun Govt Commiserates With NYSC, Family Over Slain Corps Member (Photos)

The Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has on Thursday commisserated with the scheme in the State over the death of one of her corps members, Mr. Adebayo Mukaila Dele with Code number OS/19C/4333, who until the time of his death carried out his primary assignment at Olorunda North LCDA, Osogbo.

Governor Oyetola who was represented by the Hon Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Olayemi Azeez Lawal and a team from the ministry visited the site of the incidence and family of the deceased at their residence in Osogbo on Thursday.
Hon. Lawal In his Condolence speech, Consoled Mr and Mrs Adebayo, the aged Parents of the deceased corps member who was shot in his telecom/POS shop by armed robbers at about 11pm on Tuesday.

“Mr Governor sent me to console with you on the loss of your son, Mukaila. We are all saddened by this incident and pray that God will give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. I assure you that we will not leave you alone but will support you in the best possible way we can”.

“the death of your son is a great loss not only to your family but to the scheme and the State at large. I want you to take heart and believe that soon the arm of the law will catch up with the perpetrators” he said.

Meanwhile, the state coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke had appreciated Mr Governor for deeming it fit to send a delegation to the secretariat and the home of the family of the deceased. He described the gesture of His Excellency as an encouraging one.

He said, ” on behalf of the Director General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. Shuiabu Ibrahim and the NYSC family, we appreciate His Excellency for extending his arm of fellowship and for consoling with the scheme at a time like this “.

Equally, the parents of the deceased, Mr and Mrs Adebayo also expressed their appreciation to His Excellency and also to the scheme, who according to them, since the incident happened have rallied round the family shouldering the responsibilities for the burial and other expenses incurred.


Corps member Adebayo Mukaila has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
