Osun FIBAN Chairman, Olugbade Olu-Omo Lauds Excos, Leaders, Members As He Rolls Out Achievements To Mark 2nd Year In Office

The Osun State Chairman of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Comrade Olugbade Oluomo has thank God, leaders, members of the association for standing by him in the last two years of running affairs of the association, and reaffirmed his total commitment to the service of moving FIBAN forward.

In his two years administration described as “Fruitful, Progress and High Development”, Olugbade stated this in an official statement to commemorate his two years of running the affairs of the State FIBAN as Chairman.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED BY CHAIRMAN, FIBAN OSUN STATE CHAPTER TO COMMEMORATE TWO FRUITFUL YEARS IN OFFICE

Firstly, I give thanks to Almighty God the creator of heaven and earth, the unquestionable God who enthroned Kings at His own WILL, which no man can stand against His Wish. “Iba re Oluwa Olorun Eledumare, Atogbarale, Alafehinti mi”

I can not say anything further without acknowledging our great, reliable, dependable and ever cherished elders/leaders in the State, most especially the respected pioneers; Prince Akolade Alabi (FIBAN NAT’L MBOT), Evang. Ayobami Oyelade – Agbaramiko. Eyin gan ni onilu ti ki n je ki Ilu o tu, agba yin a d’ale o.
I will not forget our former & present National representatives, past chairmen, former & present zonal coordinators and all active members of Osun FIBAN in general, you are all the best!

Just like 2days ago, but it’s exactly second year i was officially Sworn-in into the office to take the leadership role of our dear, noble, prestigious and respected association in the state, along side with my able and ever hardworking Executive members.
After members has given us the mandate with their votes on July 6th, 2017. Though, i didn’t see my self as a WINNER or CHAMPION in the election, but a Leader appointed to serve and contribute my quota with everything i have, like my intelligence, exposure, time, energy, connection and resources.

For those who can recall, we came up with PHD agenda, our aims and objective is to work hard on “PROGRESS AND HIGH DEVELOPMENT” in order to stir up FIBAN, Osun State chapter. We made some promises during our campaign and manifestos which we started fulfilling them one by one through the help of God and support of our great members.

As Yoruba use to say; “arise larika, arika si ni baba iregun”. The achievements of this present Osun FIBAN administration is laudable and commendable in just two years without exaggerating, this administration has performed wonderfully well even beyond many people’s expectations.

We really work hard to reconcile with the aggrieved members and ensured peace, love and harmony among everyone and brought the house together in unity which gave us more grace to operate successfully.

After a year of operating on the association’s zero account, this administration work hard round the clock to furnished an empty Secretariat apartment we inherited by the last administration to taste and well standard.

In 2017, we organised first ever colourful, glamorous, Classical and profitable 2 in 1 Event tagged: “Osun FIBAN Day & hangout with Icons”. It was huge success and ever memorable! Through this event, we got a piece of land for the association to build our permanent secretariat house at Owode area, Ilesa road, osogbo, allocated for us by Amb. Babayemi Segunbabs CEO Ile Alayo Estate homes.

This administration has initiated so many programmes which has boosted the morale, promote and gave the association more fame in the State.
-We started appreciating and celebrating our member’s birthday every month with beautiful cakes and also entertaining members with menu in every State General meetings.

-All members will ever remember Osun FIBAN Health Day held on April 26th 2019.

-Osun FIBAN Hangout (postponed to Dec. 2019) as our end of the year get-together event.

-We are also set for the maiden edition of Prince Kolade Alabi Osun FIBAN Inter zone football competition, is going to hold by next month (Sep. 2019)

We have touched and reached-out positively to so many members that are in needs, in cash and kinds without any publicity, complains or been tired. We are always supportive, approachable and Accessible to all members. Let me just mention few here and see more in our forthcoming “Osun FIBAN magazine” which is going to be launched during the next FIBAN week event.

Since our assumptions into this office, i don’t see my self as a ruler, but as a “servant leader” appointed by intelligent group of people to serve them.
We believed that members of the association are superior than us, so we allowed all responsibilities to rest upon us, we took all blames and accusations, we accepted all faults either right or wrong, we absorbed and look over all embarrassments and insults. The road is so rough, not smooth nor easy but with GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

“O ku bayi n’ibon n ro ooo….. In another 365 days, this administration will come to an end and becomes history, not just an history but a memorable and remarkable One. We shall leave a commendable Legacy, write down our name with a Golden pen to be unforgettable in the history of Osun FIBAN and make everything easier for our successors.
We remain focused, waved away all distractions and keep moving and not relenting or tired till we finally get there, hit our targets and bring out the best in us.

Just before i conclude, I will like to appreciate those that believes in us, those that stood by us, those that never neglected their responsibilities and duties as member and those that doesn’t disappear after elections and plan to reappear at the next election.

To whom much is given, more is expected. Let me specially give kudos to the following people who won this year “Osun FIBAN O’ yato administrative merit award”;

The best supportive Exco member of the year goes to Comr. Sunday Alakinde

The best active Exco member of the year goes to Comr. Sunkanmi Oluwole

The best active Elder of the year goes to Evang. Ayobami Oyelade Agbaramiko.

The best active member in the State meeting goes to Saheed Alaka Obelomo

Best coordinator…???
Best financial member…???
Best ideologist member…??? Etc.

Some other people may be considered and added to the list later before the presentation of the Award during this year’s hangout by December.

We need more supports from you all, let’s do it together and achieve this success together.
