Osun: Court Sends Emir Ajagungbade To Remand Over Murder, Robbery

Informarion reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that a notorious political thug, Olalekan Ajagungbade, popularly known as Emir has on Thursday been remanded in Ile-Ife Prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo.

OsunReporters News had earlier reported that Emir is facing charges bordering on murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

It could be recalled that before his arrest last year by a special intelligence team from the Police Headquarters Abuja, Emir Ajagungbade who though had been on the Wanted List of the Nigeria Police, Osun State Command, was a hard-nut to crack because of what many described as his close relationship with the state state government and other influential political figures in the state.

meanwhile, the leading opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had severally in the past accused Governor Adeleke of harbouring the suspect and other wanted criminals in his residence in Ede, a ploy they said was designed to shield them from police arrest.

Emir is to be re-arraigned March 5 for continuation of his case.
