Osun Assembly Suspends Confirmation Of Olorunda LG Caretaker Nominee Over Attack On Member

,,,, Information reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that the Osun State House of Assembly has today during the confirmation received report of an attack on honourable member representing Olorunda constituency, Honourable Olamide Ajibola, leading to the suspension of the confirmation of any nominee from the Local Government.

Recall that Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier appointed Caretaker committees for Local Government Council Areas, Local Government Development Areas and the Area Office in Osun state after securing approval of the State House of Assembly

The Governor had written to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly , seeking approval for the appointment of the Caretaker committees.

The Speaker, Hon. Egbedun, however suspended the confirmation of the Olorun local government decision which was harshly supported by honourable representing Obokun local government, Hon. Adewumi Irekandu, cited that any attack on honourable…member of any constituency is an attack on all Assembly Members and the state as a whole which must be dealt with without fear of favour.
