Osogbo Peace & Unity Advocacy Celebrates Akintunde, Waseeu, Akande, Abolubode, Oladepo, Adeosun, Omo-oloore For Being Good Ambassadors
The leadership of Osogbo Peace and Unity Advocacy has announced the programme to celebrate and honour the former State Parliamentarians and Osogbo political office holders in the current administration of Governor Oyetola of Osun state with awards of Pillars of Democracy and certificate of honour.
This was contained in a release made available to OSUN REPORTERS in Osogbo where the Director General of the group, Chief ‘Bosun Oyedele explained the schedule of the programme of which a public lecture is one of the major aspect of the event with the tittle “OSOGBO AGENDA; Necessary or Not?” to be delivered by the Chairman of Osogbo NBA, AbdulRahman Okunade Esq.
The statement noted that the two former honourable members represented Osogbo and Olorunda State Constituencies at the 6th Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Akintunde Adegboye (Former Deputy Speaker, OSHA) and Honourable Wasiu Adebayo (Former House Chairman on Local Government) would be conferred ‘Pillars of Democracy Merit Awards’, while their successors, Hon. Kunle Akande of Olorunda and Hon Badamasi Taofeek of Osogbo State Constituencies alongside the State Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Hon Sola Oladepo; Special Adviser to the governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Rasaki Adeosun; and Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Hon Olalekan Badmus will be presented the certificate of honour.
The programme is to recognize their good representation and impressive performances at the Osun State House of Assembly. Also featuring a grand reception and presentation of certificates of honour to their successors and three appointed members of Governor Oyetola’s cabinet.

The group, Osogbo Peace and Unity Advocacy (OPUA) is saddled with the responsibility of promoting peace and unity amongst Osogbo indigenes both at home and in the diaspora.
The programme is slated for Thursday 26th March, 2020 at the Osogbo City Hall, Olonkoro Osogbo, the Osun State capital at 10:00am, adding that all plans are on top gear and names of the invited dignitaries would be made public as the event is unfolding.
