Oriade LG, Ikirun zone League of Imams & Alfas receive MUPAF

_…Pledge supports for political participation_

The leadership of Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF) led by National Coordinator, Alh Lukmam Obembe were warmly received by the League of Imams and Alfas in Oriade local government and Ikirun zone in Ifelodun local government area f Osun State

The familiarization visit to the forum of Islamic leaders took place at Ipetu Ijesa on Thursday, and Ikirun Central Mosque on Sunday respectively.

The constituency tour which started in October is aimed to familiarize and re-echo the aims and objectives of the Islamic cum politically inclined group to Muslim leaders on the need to use our strength across Osun to seek political power.

This, MUPAF believes will positively change the socio-economy situation if we have true Muslims at the various helms of governance.

In his address, MUPAF National Coordinator, Obembe reaffirmed the need for our Islamic leaders especially Imams to use their various platforms in reaching out to Muslims on the need to make use of our strength to seek for political power, noting that there would be balance in sharing of public asset if we elect an Islamic oriented Muslims into political offices.

He further revealed some efforts of MUPAF across Osun, the entire Southwest and Kwara States which include the formation of Political Da’wah Warriors to engage people at the grassroots across the local government areas of Osun state.

In their separate remarks, the League of Imams and Alfas in Oriade Local Government and Ikirun zone thanked MUPAF for working towards politics in Islam, and prayed for Allah’s blessings to crown every effort of the group.

Chairman of League of Imams and Alfas in Oriade local government and Chief Imam of Ipetu Ijesha, Imam Sarumi Sakariyahu Azan, who acknowledged the impact of MUPAF, gave kudos to the leadership of the group for coming out at this time to champion such agenda that will be of benefit to all. He also charged MUPAF not to relent in the propagation no matter the challenges, adding that the support of Islamic leaders at State and national levels are needed.

The Chief Imam of Ikirunland, Sheik Imam Yunus Ibrahim Balogun also urged other Islamic leaders to unit, noting that MUPAF agenda will befit all.

MUPAF Osun East Senatorial leader and NaibulImam of Erin-Ijesha, Alh Sulaimon Kayode who led other members to receive state leadership of MUPAF, also reaffirmed the need for Islamic leaders across board to support the agenda.

In Ikirun zone, MUPAF Coordinator in Ifelodun, Boripe, Odootin Constituency, Imam Musemilu Adesina Toyin (Alalufa) joined by Ifelodun Local Government MUPAF Coordinator, Imam Tijani Muideen Adebayo (Imam Lata) and others ambers in the zone to welcome the state leadership to Ikirun.
