Ondo 2024: Names Of 16 Guber Candidates, Running Mates (Full List)

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Saturday published the personal details of the 16 governorship candidates, including their running mates ahead of the November 16, 2024 governorship election in Ondo State.

According to report,ms, the details which included their educational background and other information was pasted at INEC office in Alagbaka, Akure.

As released by the electoral umpire, below are names of the candidates and political parties:

_All Progressives Congress: Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami

_Peoples Democratic Party: Agboola Ajayi, deputy, Samuel Ogunmusi

_Accord Party: Ajibola Falaiye, deputy, Samuel lkuyajolu

_Action Alliance: Omolere Akinuli, deputy, Oluwatosin Adeyemi

_African Action Congress: Oluwaseyi Ajayi, deputy, Abiodun Lijofi

_All Progressive Grand Alliance: Olatunji Popoola, deputy, Ayorinde Adedeji

_Allied Peoples Movement: Isaac Ogunfeyimi, deputy, Arowolo Afolabi

_Action Peoples Party: Babatunde Fadoju, deputy, Olarewaju Ajagunna

_African Democratic Congress: Adeyemi Nejo, deputy, Rasheed Ibrahim

_Labour Party: Ayodele Olorunfemi, deputy, Olabisi Adu

_New Nigeria People’s Party: Oluwatosin Ayeni, deputy, Abike Omoyugbo

_Peoples Redemption Party: Babatunde Alli, deputy, Olusegun Famesa

_Social Democratic Party: Olusegun Oyebolu, deputy, Gift Dada

_Young Progressives Part: Otitoloju Akinmurele, deputy, Ayodele Obe

_Youth Party: Kehinde Adegoke, deputy, Otitoleke Olupitan

– Zenith Labour Party: Abbas Mimiko, deputy, Opeyemi Fadoju.

However, INEC is expected to publish the final names of candidates for the election by June 18, after which substitution by the political parties would have been effected.

It would be recalled that INEC had earlier announced that political campaigns will kick off on June 19, 2024.


At the time of filing this report, no petition against any candidate while rhe general public are allowed to raise any objection against any candidate with evidence within the stipulated time.
