Nigerian soldiers killed in fresh attack
Imformation reaching the OsunReporters News has it that not less than six Nigerian soldiers have been killed while fighting with bandits in Karaga and Rumace communities in Bassa ward, Shiroro local government area of Niger State.
Reports revealed that two farmers were also reported to have been killed while houses, food banks and motorcycles were burnt by the attackers.
Sources further confirmed that the attack started around 9pm on Friday and lasted for hours.
One of the sources anonymously said “Six soldiers lost their lives and one volunteer hunter.”
Another source, Mustapha Bassa, said bandits in their numbers rode on motorcycles with each motorcycle carrying 3 people and they shot sporadically as they moved into the communities, adding that motorcycles, houses and food banks were set ablaze during the attack.
Earlier this month, terrorists suspected to be from the Boko Haram sect killed at least five military personnels in an ambush.
,,,,,The incident happened along the Biu-Buratai-Buni Yadi road, a path that has remained a death trap, as it has witnessed a series of deadly attacks in recent times.
