,,,,,The Police Recruitment Board has set January 8th as the starting date for screening eligible applicants for recruitment into the Police Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force.
Police spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani announced the decision in a statement issued on Thursday, December 21st, after a meeting of the Board at the Police Service Commission headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
As of the recruitment portal’s closure earlier this month, 416,270 Nigerian youths were deemed to meet the initial requirements for the next stage of the exercise. This includes 315,065 applicants for General Duty and 101,205 for specialist roles.
…..Successful candidates can expect to receive their invitation letters before December 23rd, 2023. This next stage will involve both physical and credentials screening conducted in the applicant’s state of origin. They will be required to bring original copies of their certificates, other credentials, and letters of attestation from their Local Government Chairmen or traditional rulers.
“Computer-based testing (CBT) and medical examinations will follow the screening,” Ani stated, adding that “dates for these stages will be announced in due course.”
After the portal closed, Kaduna State topped the list with 31,117 successful applicants, followed by Adamawa (29,848), Benue (25,346), Borno (24,854), Katsina (24,239), and Bauchi (22,958).
