MUPAF takes Constituency Tour to Ede Muslim Community

In continuation of the ongoing Constituency Tour across Osun State, the leadership of Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF) on Thursday visited Ede Muslim Community to to re-echo the need for unity among Muslims to pursue a common goal in the interest of all.

The constituency tour which started in October is aimed to familiarize and emphasize the aims and objectives of the Islamic cum politically inclined group to Muslim leaders and groups on the need to use our strength across Osun to seek political power.

This, MUPAF believes will positively change the socio-economy situation if we have true Muslims at the various helms of governance.

However, the leadership of MUPAF led by the national Coordinator, Alh Lukman Obembe, was at Ede Muslim Community which include Ede North and South local government areas.

While speaking, Obembe reaffirmed the need for our Islamic leaders especially Imams to use their various platforms to reach out to Muslims on the need to make use of our strength to seek for political power, adding that there would be balance in sharing of public asset if we elect an Islamic oriented Muslims into political offices.

He further revealed some efforts of MUPAF across Osun, the entire Southwest and Kwara States which include the formation of Political DA’wah Warriors to engage people at the grassroots across the local government areas of Osun state.

While reacting on behalf of Ede Muslim Community, Dr Idris Musbaudeen Olatunde, acknowledged the existence and impact of MUPAF in Osun. He gave kudos to the leadership of the group for coming out at this time to champion such agenda that will be of benefit to all.

Ede Muslim Community Chairman, however, asked MUPAF for an official representative of the group in the Muslim Community, pledging to create a political committee for a practical followup of the propagation.


Members of MUPAF including the Political Da’wah Warriors in Ede North and South led by the constituency Coordinator, Imam Murtador Thrimizy; Ede North Cordinator Mr Abdulmajeed Salahudeen and Ede South Coordinator Mr Adegbite Rasaq welcomed the state leadership to Ede.
