MUPAF Inaugurates Political Da’hwa Warriors, Says “Osun Must Produce Muslim Governor, Others”

The Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF), hosted its 2024 Post Ramadan Public Lecture on Saturday at Ansarudeen Central Mosque, Sabo area, Osogbo, Osun State Capital.

The post Ramadan lecture was anchored on three key points; Inauguration of political Da’hwa warriors, 7th Anniversary of the organization and Awards presentation.

The programme which was attended by hundreds of Muslims, is part of the struggle to collectively wake up Muslims in the state and its environs from their slumber on the need to join forces for political participation, relevance, and proffers solution to the current challenges circumnavigating governance in Nigeria.

The keynote speakers, Sheikh Daud Imran Molaasan (National President Jamaat Taawunul Muslim, Grand Mufti of Yorubaland) and Dr. Morufu Hazzan Omo Oko (Lecturer LAUTECH) were able to analyzed the topic; “Developmental Governance: Islamic or Democratic Approach?

The speakers unanimously enlightened, advised and urged all attendees to wholeheartedly participate in politics with full spirit of Islam, noting that Islam supports politics in totality.

Grand Mufti of Yorubaland and Dr Azan reiterated further that all Muslims must Involve in politics as it affects all spheres of lives most especially in the areas of Economy, Security, Family, Cost of living, Standard of living and Unity.

While speaking, Chairman of the day, Alhaji (Chief) Dr Fatai Adesina Kolawole, applauded the leadership of MUPAF for consistently remain relevant in propagating Islam in politics for the past seven years, adding that the structure of MUPAF in Osun is encouraging.

The programme was attended by Imams, Alfas, Scholars, Islamic organizations and members of MUPAF across Osun to mark the 7th anniversary of the organization..

Inauguration of ten MUPAF Political-Da’hawa Warriors in each of the local government to propagate the objectives of the organization across all the Local Government Areas of Osun was part of the major aspects of the programme.

Earlier, the national coordinator of MUPAF, Alh Lukman Obembe reaffirmed the commitment of the organization in working towards electing Muslims into political offices in Osun, Southwest and by extension Nigeria at large. He charged the Political-Da’hawa worriors to work towards achieving the goal of producing the next governor among other elective posts in the state.
