Mourning As Family Of Seven Die After Eating Suya with Juice In Nigeria

It was a black weekend for the entire family in Abia State where mo fewer than seven persons confirmed dead after eating the popular barbecue known as suya with juice in Umueze Umuakanu Umuahia North LGA, Abia State.

According to the report, father of the house Mr. Jessey was said to have bought the suya from where all the family members, including extended family who came for holidays ate, while the Wife Mrs Ogba Jessey, and his son survived and were currently receiving treatment at Federal Medical Centre Umuahia.

….The report claimed that the victims started throwing up after eating the suya suspected to have been poisoned that led to their demise. The deceased have been reportedly deposited in the morgue while the surviving victims are currently receiving treatment.

At the time of filing this report, surviving victims are not aware that other members of the family have passed on.
