Many feared death as truck crushes students

Several students were crushed to death by a hit-and-run truck driver along Ogunusi Road at the Grammar School bus stop in Lagos State.

However, it was learned that the students were returning home after closing time and wanted to cross the road when the truck hit them.

The driver was reportedly chased to the Ogba area where he was reportedly arrested.
“I have never witnessed such a terrible scene in my life. I saw about fifteen students lying lifeless on the ground. The incident happened around 2 pm, ”a commercial motorcyclist told our correspondent.

Riots broke out following the incident as police fired tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd.
