Man confesses of been responsible for his stepmother’s kidnap
A notorious alleged kidnapper, Bunmi Ogunremi, 49, was arrested by police in Ado-Ekiti for carrying out several kidnappings in the state, including that of his own mother-in-law.
However, Ogunremi also known as Bunmi Bafon, from Ado-Ekiti, was arrested by police alongside their food supplier and a vulcanizer who is their informant.
While confessing to the crime, the suspects revealed that they were the criminals who kidnapped a major oil trader, Alhaji Sulaimon Akinbami in Ureje, Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, and who carried out numerous other kidnappings in Ekiti and Ondo states.
When questioned, Ogunremi, from Ado, confessed to kidnapping his own mother-in-law. He said, “The first job I did was Akinbami who owns a gas station. The second is a woman. The third was in Akure. The fourth was my mother-in-law ”
