Makinde Breaks Silence Over Akpabio’s Claims On N30an Extra Allocation To Govs
While refuting the claim during the unveiling of the Iseyin Central Mosque in Oyo State, Governor Makinde expressing disbelief at Akpabio’s statements. He questioned the validity of such claims, highlighting the unlikelihood of FIRS issuing funds directly to state governments, emphasizing that funds in the federation account are designated for the welfare of Nigerians, not for allocation to state governments. He urged for responsible governance during this crucial period, emphasizing the need to foster public confidence rather than incite political tension.
At the time of filing this report, no counter response from the Senate President.
