Liberty Targets 5000 Osun Residents In 5-Day Free Medical, Empowerment Outreach

All efforts are in top gear for a five-day Medical and Empowerment Outreach organize by a non-governmental organization, Liberty, to make a significant impact among the Osun State residents through medical, legal, and kills empowerment, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS gathered.
In a Press Briefing organized by the organization held on Friday in Osogbo, Rev. Olufunso Ajibode who is the Conference Pastor of the New Covenant Church, Osogbo Conference said the NGO, which started in the year 1999 was founded to set many people, Families, Communities, Villages , Towns and Cities free from bondage to Sin, Sicknesses, Diseases, Poverty, Lack among others.
He explained that the five-day Outreach will attend to different medical challenges such as Eye Care, Eye Surgeries, Eye Glasses, and General Surgeries, while people will be trained in about fourteen different business skills within four days, distribution of welfare materials like clothes, shoes, e.t.c. for the needy while the Liberty Youths will conduct outreach to selected Schools to educate them on the need to desist from teenage pregnancy, shun cultism and other forms of violence.
While responding to questions from Journalists, Olufunso further explained that the organization is targeting about 5000 residents without discrimination at the programme slated between Wednesday 25th and Sunday 29th October 2023 at the Osogbo City Stadium at 9:00AM.
In his words; “We are targeting about 5000 beneficiaries with about 500 volunteers. Some are battling different health challenges but are financially incapacitated to settle their medical bills, while many are just looking for something to do to take care of their families, Liberty is here to attend to their needs for free without discrimination.
“Our organization is full of expats from different capacities. Government cannot do it all, free eye surgeries (cataract) shall be conducted for those who need it. There will be free distribution of eye glasses for those who may require such and free general surgeries. There will also be free legal clinics, business empowerment and distribution of welfare materials like clothes, shoes, e.t.c. for the needy and less privileged ones.”

The Chairman, Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the outreach, Barrister Kayode, other members of the committee and Pastors were at the Press briefing.

My name is Olufunso Ajibode, the Conference Pastor of New
Covenant Church Osogbo Conference. This press conference is called with the purpose of bringing to the full knowledge of the entire public WHAT LIBERTY IS ALL ABOUT AND THINGS THEY STAND TO BENEFIT BY ATTENDING.
Liberty started in the year 1999.
The first edition was held at the Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan. The visioner is Rev. Mrs Kate Jinadu, wife of the General Overseer of New
Covenant Church.
The goal of Liberty as is implied from the name is to set people free, set whole families, communities, villages, towns and cities free from bondage to sin, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, lack, e.t.c.
Since 1999, we have gone from village to village, town to town and city to city. We have established 2 free schools in Oyo State, sunk 16 wells, built several churches. did agricultural and business empowerment and medical surgeries (eye & general) for many who needed them.
This year 2023, Osogbo City is blessed and privileged through the New Covenant Church Osogbo Conference to host this year’s outreach.
The outreach holds from WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 25 TO SUNDAY OCTOBER 29 (next week) FROM 9AM EACH DAY AT THE OSOGBO CITY STADIUM
HIGHLIGHTS OF EACH DAY ACTIVITY
The good news of the Kingdom of God shall be preached and participants who need medical consultations shall be attended to.
