‘Kidnappers Attack HIghway, Abduct Four Travellers
It was learned that the victims were attacked by a gang of armed men on their way back to Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday after attending an event in Kogi State.

The incidence was verified by retired Brig Gen. Joe Komolafe, State Commander of Amotekun Corps.
According to Komolafe, the operators were already scanning the area’s woodland for the detainees.
Kehinde Abejide, a community leader in Irele-Ekiti, told media after the event that the attacks had grown too frequent.
“Despite the people’s outcry, the administration appears to be doing nothing.”
“While we have made local security precautions in the past, it will never be adequate to combat these guys.”
….”A military installation between Irele and Oke Ako is required to prevent assaults by these militants,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria.
