Just In: Police Reportedly Surround APC Headquarters In Abuja
The news reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that a team of Police personnel have occupied the headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the federal capital territory (FCT).
According to the report, the development sparked tension around the APC national secretariat, recently christened Muhammadu Buhari House.
It is unclear why the police deployed their personnel in the secretariat, but information at this online platform’s disposal had it that the law enforcement agency is working on a security report.
The police officers numbering over 25 took strategic positions on Blantyre street, where the party is located at Wuse 2 in the nation’s capital.
Afterwards, the ruling party issued a notice, saying John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of the caretaker, will explain to journalists why there is a heightened security presence at the secretariat.
“NOTICE” The National Secretary will brief the media on increased security presence at the Party’s National Secretariat. He is on his way to the Secretariat,” the party said in a terse notice.
