JUST IN: House of Reps Names Principal Officers (see names, portfolios)

The Federal House of Representatives, led by Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has named the principal officers for the 9th House.

Accirding to the source, Alhassan Doguwa (APC, Kano) named the Majority Leader, while Tahir Monguno (APC, Borno) as Chief Whip; Peter Akpatason (APC, Edo) as Deputy Leader; and Nkeiruka Onyejeocha (APC, Abia) named Deputy Chief Whip.

Speaker Gbajabiamila said, naming the principal officers was based on Order 7 Rule 4 of the House Standing Rules as communicated by the APC caucus of the House.
